Nominations Open for 2016 Aces Board
Nominations are now open for the 2016 San Diego Aces Board Election. If you are interested in running for a board position, please contact Aces Vice President Randy Wylot at wylot@sbcglobal.net. You must contact Randy by Friday, December 4th at 5pm if you want to be included on the ballot. The online portion of the election will begin on Friday, December 11th and will run until Friday, December 18th at 5pm. All San Diego Aces members with valid email addresses will receive an email invitation to the election ballot. If you receive the monthly Aces email messages from Mark Verrochi, we have your email address on file. If you have not been receiving the monthly emails, contact Mark at mtv@alum.wpi.edu. In-person voting (for those that do not vote electronically) will be conducted on Saturday, December 19th at Kit Carson Park and Sunday, December 20th at Morley Field. We hope to hold BBQ’s or bag-tag challenges in conjunction with the voting (volunteers welcome!).
How does the election work? You do not vote for specific board positions. Each member can vote for up to five candidates. The five candidates who receive the greatest number of votes will meet as a committee to elect members to the five Executive Board positions (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Membership Director). Once the Executive Board is selected they will appoint Course Representatives at the January board meeting.
Election weekend is also a great time to renew your membership for 2016. We will have 2016 bag tags available that weekend, along with the new 2016 membership discs. Five black tags (#1-#10) will be released at each of the two events.
