Pre-Mother’s Day Doubles at Emerald Isle – Friday @ 4

May 6, 2014

Here’s a message from Randy Wylot, who is organizing the SD Aces May Monthly at Emerald Isle on 5/10/2014:

Hello Disc Golfers

Emerald Isle disc golf layout will be set up for random draw doubles (A & B pools) this Friday starting 4pm. Cost is $5 doubles plus $5 green fee to walk or $10 green fee with cart. We need baskets…if you can bring a basket please contact me. Help get the word out!!!

Saturday’s event will begin 1pm. Please arrive early for check in and reserve a cart. There are only 32 carts ($5 a person) so pair up with someone who is on your card. The scorecards will be arranged on the score point leader board. In the interest of time, we will be playing 36 holes without a break. There will be carts delivering food and beverages, and the snack shop in the middle of the course will be open.

San Diego Aces and SoCal DGA memberships will be available. Bring your Aces tag!!

Thank you for signing up for the event and I look forward to seeing all this weekend.

    Randy,

I’m sure you’ve been asked this already, but any chance of still getting in on the monthly tomorrow?

In the future, the best way to find out about getting into a tournament is to contact the tournament director directly, in this case it was Randy Wylot. We usually list the email address for TD’s in any story about an upcoming tournament or on our “Upcoming Events” page or it’s listed on the online registration page for the tournament.

Posting a comment on this website or on Facebook asking whether you can get into a tournament is usually going to be about as effective as standing in your doorway and asking the question to the sky. Facebook will be especially ineffective for reaching Randy, as he has no Facebook account.

Sorry for the sarcastic tone to this reply, but it’s frustrating to see the number of comments about tournament registration that are posted this way. They are doomed to be unsuccessful, as TD’s don’t patrol these website comments before their events. But they do check their email and answer their phones. -AR
