Another Brengle Terrace Update

July 25, 2012

BRENGLE TERRACE NEWS

Dear Aces Members,

To all those who have responded and come out to work at Brengle Terrace Park, we offer a sincere thank you. On July 7 we had a great turnout of hard working Aces members and accomplished enough to give a glowing progress report to the City of Vista. They are please with the progress, but we still have more milestones ahead to keep them happy.

More work will be done at Brengle Terrace Park this weekend. We need to top off and compact 6 tees with decomposed granite, install the rest of the tee mats and move the rest of a large pile of loose brush that was cut at prior work parties. That, along with installing some additional signs, will complete our August 6 deadline of completing 16 of the 18 holes.

Also, if possible, we will start clearing brush on the last two holes that need to be completed by October 1. We are counting on getting continued help to keep schedule. So please come out and work a couple hours and reward yourself by playing a round of 16 unique and challenging holes.

In other news, the Moonlight Amphitheatre is hosting their biggest event of the season and parking demands will require us to close holes 18 and 1 at 5 pm on Wednesday through Sunday for the next three weeks. The baskets will be removed or covered with a bag during these times. The city is quite sensitive to the interaction between their Moonlight functions and the disc golf course, so please comply and do not play these holes while they are closed.

Please call me with any questions or comments.

Brengle Terrace Disc golf course will be named after the club. The course equipment and all upgrades performed once complete belong to the City of Vista under the term of the contract. The 3rd Annual Flying Disc Championship have not been replaced, according to the TD they will not be held this year on that weekend. For additional information or questions regarding the Kinetic Tournament please visit our Facebook page or E-mail us @ customer service@kineticdiscgolf.com.

Randy and I have elected to not host a CSFDC this year as he is planning the SoCal Championships and I am planning a wedding. In addition, we are both working to provide youth related disc golf activities this fall. At this time, Kinetic has not presented anything to the Aces Board regarding their Facebook posted event. Once we have more information, we will let you know.
