Salt Creek Disc Golf Ice Bowl
February 26, 2010
There were breath-taking vistas on this beautiful golf course in Chula Vista. There was also weather; somewhat of a novelty for us San Diegans. The rounds were punctuated by dark clouds dumping rain as they swiftly moved on by. We’d see them coming over the hill, and take whatever cover we had, and keep on playing. It was still a great day in Paradise…Carlo Pelg staved off Jeff Nichols in a sudden death play-off. Patrick Paramore held on to take Advanced and Eric Mulhern handedly took Intermediate. Kim Cotrell held on to the women’s division. Scores will not be listed, as $234 was spent on Mulligans and may have affected some of them It was a feel-good tourney, with $600 donated to the San Diego Food Bank. Thanks go out to our TD Randy Wylot and Salt Creek for allowing us to use their driving range.

Had such a great time at the Ice Bowl at Salt Creek. Really liked the picturesque course and still have some of those holes in mind and want to go back and throw, espicially holes 4,13,15. Wish this would become a permanent disc golf course. With it only 20 minutes away from Morley, it sure would help alleviate the overflow.
– Congrats to AJ for winning the overall Golden Sombrero.
– Congrats to Carlo for holding on after Jeff’s attempt to catch him
