Played goat hill yesterday on the 25th and I got to say that it was a very nice course. A little windy but that didn’t bother me much.played with aa friendly group from the aces club and looking forward to play more tournaments in the san diego area
Are there ever youth focused events planned?
Great question. The club has run few youth-focussed events in the past, partly because there used to be a local group (YDGA) that focused on youth. We have run clinics in the past in Escondido, and several board members regularly give clinics/demonstrations to local schools and youth groups. Several events in 2011 raised funds for EDGE (Educational Disc Golf Experience), and that group will be providing local schools with disc golf equipment in the near future.
All this being said, my opinion (A.Risley) is that we haven’t done enough. This should be a priority for 2012!
